The PreciseShift Shifter Bushing Kit for the 2002+ Civic Si comes with eight aluminum bushings that replace the four stock flexible rubber bushings.
It will reduce excessive play in the shifter assembly and provide a more solid and precise shifting experience, especially during hard shifts.
A great example of how the kit work is to imagine a joystick stuck on the table via rubber suction. If you yank the joystick too hard, the entire joystick assembly will move towards the direction of force. Now instead of rubber suction we super glue the entire joystick assembly onto the table. When you yank the joystick now, the only thing that moves now is the joystick itself, and not any excessive play/motion from the joystick assembly.
This kit fits on all 2002-2005 Honda Civic Si (SiR in Canada) EP3 hatchbacks. They work along with the Neuspeed short shifter adpter for the EP3, and compliments it nicely. It will also fit any EP3 models in other countries (Type R, etc.) that use the upper console shifter assembly. The kit comes with 8 pieces of aluminum bushings along with pictured installation instruction sheet. Average installation time is around 30 minutes.
